So, Wyatt has been bugging me and bugging me about playing an instrument. This is something that I'm all over because I feel like music and anything related to music is so important. I told him that I would take him to a music store and let him look around. Anything he decided that he wanted to give a go, I said we'd look into purchasing and lessons.
I'm super excited about this, but also skeptical. I don't want to spend a whole bunch of money for Wyatt to give up. Well, let me tell you it was a little crazy. He really wanted to try the trumpet ( or any brass instrument really) so Ben at West Music let him give it a go.
Okay people, he held a note for what had to be at least 45 seconds. I think Ben's jaw dropped to the floor. He kept saying that Wyatt showed a natural aptitude for the instrument and highly recommended we consider it as his first instrument. I dunno how I feel really, but I definitely think this is a good outlet for him. I'm going to do a little more research and see what happens.
So many good things could come from the ability to play an instrument. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed.
