What's that I hear? Kristi isn't complaining about being sick today? Shut the front door!!!! Yes, I still feel as though I'm on the mend, but I don't necessarily feel as though I'm dying anymore. Thank the good Lord!!!!
Heat is now fixed in my place, and of course its 70° outside, so we don't need it. lol (sigh) what a life.
70° in March, in Illinois? Honestly, Mother Nature is completely confused.
So, what's the status of Journey to Thirty, you ask? Well, let me fill you in. I'm still drinking way less Mt Dew than I used to. I'm staying pretty steady at the same weight right now, but I've decided to take my doctor's words to heart and allow the "getting healthier" to be my goal, with the weight loss a possible outcome.
I've spent 29 years eating pretty much whatever I wanted, processed food that was within an inch of being a micro-biological mystery. I dunno. I'm so up in the air about all of this. I've got family who is WAY on the "whole foods" and "nutrition" side. I've also got family who will pretty much eat anything. I've always seen both sides of the coin in almost every situation. I definitely think that putting things in my body that I can't really pronounce, probably isn't a good idea. However, I MISS some of those foods.
I am now quite good at making my own cupcakes. I need to expand my repertoire and hopefully once I start feeling better, I'll be able to do so.
Here's hoping for a complete and full recovery by the weekend. It IS St. Patrick's Day after all this weekend.
GO IRISH!!!
Lots of Love,
Kristi
